Miele cross the Mersey

1 June 1999

Miele is helping young players from Europe’s biggest football academy to keep their kit clean.

The Academy, part of Liverpool Football Club, trains up to 180 young footballers and has to wash up to 756 kits, plus towels each week. It wanted large capacity, easy to operate, reliable machines. Miele has supplied three 10 kg capacity, WS5101 Profitronic washer-extractors and three T6251 gas dryers.

The Profitronic washers provide standard and customised settings to remove even ground-in soiling. Automatic detergent dispensing avoids the risk of overdosing.

Miele not only provided the club with the right equipment, it delivered a stainless-steel special to make sure that the machines, normally dark blue, did not sport Everton’s club colours, Liverpool’s big rivals from across the Mersey.
