Miele wins award for bringing NeQis validation tool to laundries

28 July 2015

UK
Miele Professional has won an award from the Society of Hospital Linen Services and Laundry Managers for its role in developing the NeQis validation tool for the laundry sector.

NeQis originally designed the system for laboratory use but the development with Miele means that it can now contribute to safe and effective healthcare linen services.

NeQis is a small mobile phone-sized monitoring device that can easily be fitted to existing laundry equipment in a care home or similar business. It monitors every wash and measures the key parameters of temperature and time and also provides proof of correct detergent dosing.

The information collected is then available on a user-friendly online portal and displayed in an easy-to-read graph that can be viewed in real time.

DEVELOPMENT AWARD: Rob Dixon of Miele Professional receives the Product Development Award for the NeQis system from John Gallagher, president of the Society of Hospital Linen Services and Laundry Manager
