Paul Woolfenden becomes TSA president

20 May 2010

Woolfenden, who will take over from Colin Hill, will serve a two-year term (from 2010 to 2012). He joined the textile care industry in 1970 when he bought Hillside Laundry. In 1976 he acquired the Afonwen business in North Wales. Afonwen Laundry Services has steadily expanded and in 2008 it opened a state-of-the-art laundry in Cardiff. The company now processes 1.2million pieces of quality linen per week.

As announced at the recent Joint Industries conference, TSA will be moving from its present address at Portland Place, which it shares with the UK Fashion and Textiles Association (UKFT), in September. Both associations will move to the completely refurbished premises at 3 Queens Square, Bloomsbury, the former home of publisher Faber and Faber.
