Since its formation in 2002 by Unilever Ventures, the venture capital arm of Unilever. which owns the Persil brand. Persil Service has grown to 76 outlets, which are predominantly located within Sainsbury's stores.
Carole Brown joined in 2003 and before this appointment held the position of trading director. Prior to Persil Service, Carole was at Boots PLC where she was responsible for the photo processing category and store format development strategy.
She said: “The stores contained within Sainsbury's have been a fantastic success and now is the time to take our offering to the high street. I am looking forward to the challenge of further building the Persil Service brand which is providing a range of convenient services for busy people.”
