Press Cleaners, based in Austin, Texas, is taking its modern approach to laundry and drycleaning business to four more markets.

In a press release, Press announced that it has already has signed up “virtual franchisees” in Lubbock, Texas and in Oklahoma City, and is currently negotiating with “virtual franchisees” to enter the Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio markets.

In each market where Press operates, it enlists a local business to handle laundry and drycleaning services as a “virtual franchisee,” while Press manages billing, marketing and other back-end operations for that market.

A customer doesn’t need to visit a store. Instead, they can schedule laundry and drycleaning services through the Press website or mobile app, and then a Press representative will pick up and drop off a customer’s clothing.

“Press is leading a technology-driven revolution in the laundry and drycleaning business. Our goal is to shake up an industry that truly needs a 21st century dose of innovation,” says Ryan Harmon, co-founder and CEO of Press.
