Prison laundry management course could bring changes

20 February 2003

The course features projects such as optimising machine productivity and minimising operating costs. Dr Neale reports that the delegates really got to grips with today's problems in managing a prison laundry.

Archie Kerr, industries manager at Saughton Prison organised the course for the Scottish Prison Service and plans to repeat it in May/June for those unable to attend.

At the end of the course, David Croft, governor at HMP Edinburgh, which hosted the training, presented candidates with their certificates.
