Private investor buys Lapauw

23 September 2010

In a joint statement to the distributors, the Belgian-based manufacturer of industrial laundry equipment officially announced that it has sold its rights to D'heygere, who has special interests in global expansion.

The statement explained that working under D'heygere's leadership and expertise would reinforce Lapauw's position as a successful worldwide leader of premier laundry equipment without compromising the quality that customers expect.”

D'heygere has successfully founded various businesses including the Stow Group which specialises in designing and manufacturing high quality shelving products for customers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

He said: “Lapauw is a company with great potential and a very loyal customer base. I look forward to lifting it up to new heights by working closely with those who shared its values for so many years.”

The deal does not include Laco, which now operates as an independent company (see separate story).
