ReachReady advises on chemicals labelling changes

18 December 2009

The Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) regulation will introduce new symbols, warning phrases, criteria for classification and larger and more colourful labels. Some chemicals that were not subject to labelling under the old classification and labelling regime will now need labels, while other chemicals will have to carry much more severe warnings.

REACHReady, which was set up in 2006 to help companies deal with REACH regulation, plans to help its existing customers understand CLP requirements by providing practical help and guidance on its website at www.cia.org.uk and a helpdesk to answer questions.
