Rentokil Initial, the global business services company, has acquired eight new companies for a total of £37 million in cash, adding between them £49 million to Rentokil Initial’s turnover.

The acquisitions include two textile services companies, Adrett, which is based in Germany and the 51% of BTMF in France that is not already owned.

Charles Grimaldi, corporate affairs director, Rentokil Initial, said: “The acquisition of BTMF is an extension of the textiles services business, which is a part of Rentokil Initial’s hygiene division already established in France. The acquisition of Adrett is the first expansion of our textile services business into Germany.

“Rentokil is committed to grow both organically and by acquisition by 20% and this is a further statement of our commitment to this policy of growth. We are now established in textile services in the UK, Germany, Spain, France and the Benelux countries. We hope to extend this side of our business into all of our 20 core countries.” Rentokil also acquired five small security businesses, three in the UK, one in the Netherlands and one in Canada, as well as the Initial Staffing franchise in Cincinatti.
