Reusable textile association plans Green Summit

17 March 2010

The two-day conference will discuss how reusables can demonstrate a clear advantage over disposables, examine ways in which companies can help “green” their operations and look at the opportunities in both the hospitality and healthcare sectors.

Explaining why the event will be important, ARTA president Steve Tinker says legislative and consumer indicators show that the focus on sustainability is here to stay. In future businesses will need to incorporate sustainable practices into their operations and to be able to verify those efforts.

The Quebec venue has been chosen as around 20% of ARTA's members are located in Canada, following the merger with the Canadian Reusable Textile Association last year.
