Robin Lowes

Robin Lowes became a director of the company in 1940, then left to serve in minesweepers until the end of the war. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.

He returned to James Armstrong in 1950 and became joint managing director with his brother Edward. He was made a founder Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Launderers in 1960.

Robin Lowes, who died on 3 January 2006 aged 87, is survived by his wife Bobby and sons Anthony, Jeremy, Thomas and their families.
