The move to robots in the laundry formed a major theme of the Kannegiesser Expo 2018 at Vlotho, Germany, and LCN editor Kathy Bowry will be providing a full report in our next International issue of LCN.
Announced under the banner of ‘the future of the laundry needs fresh inspirations’, the week-long event showcased Kannegiesser’s integrated laundry in which machine technology and software are connected (Smart L
aundry). Kannegiesser takes care of helping the laundry customer with the coordination of technology to match the end customers’ requirements.
Among the new developments on show were the GripMaster robotic sorting machine with 3D camera technology. After manually loading the soiled textiles into the equipment, operators do not touch the items until they reach the conveyor bins ready for the washing process.
The Expo 2018 runs from Sunday 3 June until Saturday 9 June.
