Rockstar for Guild

8 February 2001

Re-invent to stay ahead will be the theme of the 2001 Guild of Cleaners and Launderers conference and following its own advice the Guild has invited rock star Rick Wakeman to be the guest speaker.

The event will be held at the Forest of Arden Hotel, Warwickshire on 23 and 24 March.

Golf day

This year the Conference tees off with a golf day, before moving onto the conference programme.

The morning session looks at how fresh initiatives can help businesses. Paul Ponting of Waterfall Finance explains how to fund new ventures, Pam Turbert of Johnson Cleaners talks about the company’s trials with GreenEarth solvents, drycleaner Paul Andrews tells how he took a fresh route by opening a drive-in business and the conference closes with the President’s reception, dinner and dance.
