Sales rise for Haniel Textiles

4 July 2002

Haniel Textile Services enjoyed moderate growth in 2001, with sales value increasing by 5% despite a difficult economic year.

HTS covers both workwear rental and sales and also washroom services and supplies. The trading climate was affected by staff reductions in some sectors by inconsistent economic development across Europe.

Results met expectations in Germany but business in Italy and France suffered while the relatively young eastern European markets continued to develop. These rather mixed fortunes led to moderate growth rather than the record levels of the previous year.
