Seeing red with Mascot

10 September 2009

The red garments, part of the latest Safe Young range, will be on view at the A+A Exhibition in Dusseldorf, Germany, on 3 - 6 November 2009.

The company decided to develop the fluorescent red to provide an alternative to the usual yellow and orange colour that many associate with contractors and council workers.

“Previously wearers of safety clothing could only choose the colours yellow and orange,” says Mascot MD Michael Grosbøl. “Mascot noticed a need from wearers to distinguish themselves from other industries through their clothing.”

Jackets have vertical reflective strips to give extra visibility. Safe Young products are also Teflon coated, which makes them extra dirt-repellent and therefore easy to clean. The range contains work trousers, overalls, craftsman's trousers, jackets and a parka.
