The directors of Shorrock Trichem Group have announced the acquisition of Commercial Laundry Services (C.L.S). The acquisition has been customer driven to enable Shorrock Trichem to become one of the UK’s leading laundry equipment providers as well as boosting jobs in the North West.
Based in Atherton, the Shorrock Trichem Group employs 300 people and this is expected to grow.
C.L.S of Cheadle Hulme has a similar customer service and business culture as Shorrock Trichem and will be integrated into the group’s already successful Washcraft division, said Duncan Fishwick, Shorrock Trichem MD. “The new laundry equipment division will seamlessly slot into Shorrock Trichem Group’s Washcraft division to offer and expand its expertise in its specialist field supplying commercial laundry equipment and dishwashers to launderettes, care homes, hospitals, N.H.S and hotels. We are now recognised as one of the UK’s leading laundry businesses, and will be offering a full service division with a fleet of highly qualified engineers. This adds to the groups existing successful power care floor cleaning, pest control, chemical/janitorial and Franke coffee equipment/Café dolce divisions.”
Chris Green local MP for Bolton and Atherton visited the Shorrock Trichem head offices. He said: “They are one of the biggest employers in my constituency and this expansion will be welcomes news to residents as it means more jobs and more opportunities here locally. The future looks very bright for Shorrock Trichem.”
