SLEAT holds centenary luncheon

SLEAT president Ray Sheldrick welcomed more than 90 members and guests to the luncheon, and one of the highlights was a presentation to long-serving secretary David Hart.

Industry guests included Ivan Kerry, president of the Textile Services Association; Phil Liversidge, president of the Society of Hospital Linen service and Laundry Managers; Selwyn Burchhardt, Master of the Worshipful Company of Launderers; and Derek Harrison, national president of The Guild of Cleaners and Launderers.

Overseas guests included Dominique Lapauw of Lapauw, Philip Streitz of Streitz,

Massimo Sanvito of Pony and Hans Peter Stamm of Schulthess.

Proposing the health of the society, past president Cliff Twiss expressed his pleasure at the numbers attending the luncheon, and the continued importance of SLEAT to the UK industry."
