Slim Jim boiler is designed for low emissions

The Carbon Trust loan has been specifically introduced to help organisations finance and invest in energy saving projects.

The boiler’s tubeless, four-pass design maximises efficiency by passing combustion gases over the water heating surfaces four times. This allows the boiler to reach its full output within 10 – 12 minutes.

As the majority of the generated heat is used in the steam generation process, the boiler is able to achieve low exit flue temperature, so complying with environmental regulations.

The Slim Jim’s steam chamber is around 30% larger than that in most other vertical steam boilers and so the Slim Jim can respond quickly to peaks and troughs in demand. It also reduces priming and produces a drier steam so that the boiler does not need descaling as frequently and therefore lasts longer.
