Solvair cuts price of its drycleaning system

6 August 2009

The revised price will apply both in the USA and when the systems are sold outside the home market.

President and ceo L Ross Beard explains that while the number of Solvair installations across the USA continues to grow, financial conditions are clearly hampering lending institutions' ability to provide small business owners with finance for capital purchases. The price reduction is a response to this situation.

The company says that two factors have allowed it to make this reduction. First, the company always expected to achieve economies of scale that would allow it to reduce costs and after two years of commercial operation it has been able to negotiate reductions in costs of raw materials, manufacturing and overheads. Second, Solvair has incorporated part the initial capital investment cost into the monthly cost of consumables.

While Solvair owners do not have to pay affiliate, licence or franchise fees, the company offers 24 hour technical support and the benefits of its marketing support programme for a monthly fee.
