Solvair wins Technolgy Trailblazer award

6 July 2009

Presenting the award on June 18 at this year's Clean Show in New Orleans, DLI's CEO Bill Fisher officially acknowledged Solvair's achievement.

"DLI has only conferred the Technology Trailblazer Award twice before. In 1999 it went to Exxon-Mobile for the DF-2000 solvent and in 2001 to GreenEarth Cleaning," he said. "It is a testament to these accomplishments that this honour is seldom awarded.

Accepting the award, Solvair president and CEO L Ross Beard said:”Our scientists set out to redefine professional cleaning of consumer garments and household textiles. After 10 years of research and development, Solvair introduced a technology that is not just a replacement solvent or cleaning machine, but rather a major advancement in the science of cleaning, rethinking the entire process and achieving standards not possible before.”

“It is a privilege to receive such an honour,” he added. “We are confident that DLI's recognition of Solvair's milestone achievement will be an important factor in the future of the technology.”
