Standard Textile CEO receives lifetime achievement award

Gary Heiman, president and CEO of Standard Textile, has been presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 awards for South Central Ohio & Kentucky.

The award recognises the contribution of outstanding business leaders who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement. Heiman, who joined Standard Textile in 1988 and became CEO in 1994, has led the company through a period of dramatic growth.

In 1988, it was a textile distribution company with one factory and annual sales of around $100 million. Now it has 24 factories in 12 countries, customers in over 70 countries and annual revenues approaching $800 million.
