Supertrack ‘certified’ for service

7 April 1998

Commitment to the principle that there is always a better way has paid off for British systems handling company Supertrack. The Banbury-based firm received its ISO 9001 certification after an intensive programme of company analysis and procedural refinement spanning two-and-a-half years.

Management quality representative Teresa Bull said Supertrack was initially motivated by the marketing opportunities ISO 9001 would bring. Said managing director Rod Holloway: “as time went by, we saw many ways of improving our methods of operation, making customers even happier, which ultimately translates to the bottom line.” Supertrack staff attended a series of ISO 9001 workshops over a one-year period with the David Hall Partnership in Sheffield, organised by the Heart of England Tech.

A further six months was allowed to write the procedures, developed to formalise the sales office, design, production, installation and service functions before final assessment and certification by Lloyds.

“The overall effect has been to improve the efficiency of the company and streamline its operations,” said Mr Holloway.
