TCATA names Mathews as president-elect

3 October 2013

Steve Mathews, of M & B Hangers of Leeds, Alabama, has been voted president-elect of the Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA) and will take up the role in April 2014.

Mathews, who is responsible for M&B's sales in the Western USA, has been active in TCATA for a decade. He was a member of the business programme committee for this year's annual management and educational conference and served as a board member from 2008 to 2010. He was also the Thursday party chair at the 2007 conference and the golf chair for the 2006 conference.

"As a child I remember my dad Stan Mathews being very involved in the association, even serving as president," said Mathews. "He always spoke of the value of the organisation, including the business relationships and friendships that he formed. This has been the same for me since I became part of TCATA, and I am truly honoured for the opportunity to serve as president."
