Timpson rolls out Sketchley refits and redesigns

17 November 2003

Shortly before the opening, operations manager for Sketchley, Perry Watkins told LCN that the Stamford store would have an up-to date, open plan design with finishing and repairs at the front of the shop on one side and a laundry operation on the other side.

The company had already refitted Worcester, and Hitchen stores and at the time of speaking, Boston was also due to be finished shortly.

As to the stores in Sainsburys' outlets, a programme of closures had already been agreed when Timpson acquired Sketchley's former parent, Minit and that programme was now coming to an end, but a relationship between Sainsbury and Timpson continues.

Timpson has already opened three shoe repair outlets in Sainsburys as well as refitting Sketchley units in Sainsburys' stores in Rugby and Leamington Spa.
