Trade protection comes first says TSA president Roger Oliver

The most important task for the Textile Services Association is to make sure its voice is heard in Whitehall and Europe says incoming president Roger Oliver of London Linen Supply Taking office at the AGM, Mr Oliver praised retiring president John Walters for helping the association grow stronger in a difficult year that saw fundamental change to its staffing and structure.

Looking forward, he hoped for consolidation and stability for the TSA. It would be a tough and difficult year for the industry it serves, he said. However, he felt the economy and industry were basically strong and had the right ingredients to grow.
