TSA and the Freight Transport Association have teamed up to offer members a free visit from an FTA Transport Adviser under the Government-funded Modernising Operator Scheme (MOS).
The MOS scheme is a free advice visit for up to half a day by one of the FTA trained and experienced transport advisors. The target audience is operators with 10 vehicles or fewer, although no one is excluded. The advice offered covers four broad headings as follows: • operations general management, driver management, tachographs, duty of care and environmental • fuel efficiency bottom line benefits, vehicle and driver management and aerodynamics • driver retention recruitment, continuous development, skills training and upgrading and good employment practice • information technology general benefits, transport applications, sourcing a system and advanced use.
