RFID technology is not new and for a variety of reasons the UK laundry market is still an early adopter, says the Textile Services Association.
However, there is clearly an appetite for more information, debate and possibly even a desire to share best practice, says the association, which attracted almost 50 delegates to its latest RFID seminar at the Leicester Marriott in October.
The TSA says that there was plenty of evidence to show during conversations at breaks and exchanges with presenters and their audience that the industry is already exploring the best ways of applying the benefits of RFID - and some of these approaches and general thinking is very innovative and outside of the usual box.
