TSA improves chances for members' bids for NHS laundry contracts

UK
Textiles Services Association has successfully re-negotiated with the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) for the removal from framework documents of a clause that aggressively recommends subcontracting services to prison laundries via One3One.
Last year Murray Simpson had reached agreement with CCS that the clause would not appear when the framework documents for the next round of Laundry and Linen Services tenders were published. However, when the documents were released in early August, TSA was disappointed to see the clause had been re-instated.
Now following further negotiations CCS has agreed to remove the recommendation and as this is a live procurement, bidders will be notified of the change. When awarded the contracts will be for a 48 month period.
