TSA withdraws application from current climate change agreements

CEO Murray Simpson took the decision reluctantly but felt that, having proved it to DECC's satisfaction that could meet the criteria, to continue at this stage would only damage prospects of success in the next round of agreements.

The new round of agreements, which will become effective in 2011, was due to be launched in a consultation paper earlier this month. With TSA being recognised as an eligible party, the laundry industry is now in a strong position.
