Vermilion win major new contracts

Vermilion Corporatewear has won two major contracts to design modern new looks for Silverlink Train Services and Powerhouse.

Silverlink Train Services, formerly known as North London Railways, has agreed with Vermilion a £2 million contract to design a range of garments for 900 staff.

“Following a competitive tender, Vermilion was awarded the contract because they were able to meet all our criterior in terms of price, design and service. We also felt confident that, following their quick design response, they would meet our tight deadlines for roll out in the summer of 1998,” explains Mary Dickson, marketing director for Silverlink.

Vermilion has also won a contract worth £250 000 to create a range of outfits for 1500 field staff at Powerhouse, which claims to be UK’s largest independent home appliance retailer.

Supplied in June 1998, the range was in time for Powerhouse’s second birthday since its management buyout.

Paula Milner, personnel manager, explains why Vermilion were chosen: “We were confident that Vermilion could supply the wardrobe in time for our second birthday, whilst still maintaining their usual high standards.”
