Water recovery and heat-exchange systems, which are regularly maintained and continually enhanced, have produced water and energy savings of around 30% in the daily wash and dry process.

The Eastbourne laundry, which handles business-to-business work and offers laundry and linen hire service, operates on tunnel washers and processes up to 1.5tonnes/ hour. Heat exchangers, supplied by Christeyns, reduce the energy needed to heat water by over 30%.

The Woking laundry handles the work for the company's domestic door-to-door franchised laundry and drycleaning services. Here, water saving has been made a priority, and recovery systems, also supplied by Christeyns, allow around 30% of the wash water to be re-used. The laundry has the capacity to wash 550kg/hour equating to approximately 9,500litres of water.
