Xeros, the UK-based polymer bead-cleaning pioneer has won two prestigious awards on both sides of the Atlantic, both presentations took place on 30 April, underlining the company's double triumph.
The company, which is based in Rotherham's Advanced Manufacturing Park, was named University Spin-Out of the Year in the New Energy & Cleantech Awards 2014, in London.
The awards recognise companies that have played a pivotal role in the development of the green energy and cleantech industries. Xeros's virtually waterless commercial laundry system uses technology developed at the University of Leeds.
In San Francisco, California, Xeros's US team were presented with the Bronze award in the Energy/Sustainability category of the Edison Awards 2014. This award programme, established in 1987, is dedicated to fostering the innovators of the future.
