The system, which replaces most of the water used in conventional washing, has also gained second place in Time Magazine's 2010 list of the top 50 best inventions and has been listed in the World Wildlife Fund's survey of Green Game-Changers.
In 2009 UK-based Xeros became a strategic partner of GreenEarth Cleaning in the USA, which aims to bring this exceptional laundry technology to the North American drycleaning market.
The Xeros system is undergoing affirmation testing in the UK and USA and test sites scheduled to start using the system later this year.
