ABS Laundry Business Solutions has appointed Simon Edwards as sales manager for the UK & Nordic region, strengthening its commercial presence across one of Europe’s most dynamic laundry markets.

Edwards brings over 30 years of experience in the industrial laundry sector, combining deep technical know-how with a consistent record of new-business growth and long-term customer partnerships. His background spans software, automation, chemicals, and water & energy optimisation, supporting hospitality, workwear, and healthcare laundries across the UK and Ireland, equipping him to understand operators’ needs and shape tailored software solutions.

Throughout his career, Edwards has held senior business development roles with leading suppliers, building partner networks and collaborating closely with industry bodies including the Textile Services Association (TSA) and the Society of Hospital Linen Services and Laundry Managers. He has led projects that delivered measurable efficiency gains and sustainability improvements for commercial operations and the National Health Service (NHS).

“Simon’s knowledge of end-to-end laundry operations, combined with his consultative approach, fits perfectly with ABS’s mission to help operators digitise, integrate, and scale with confidence,” said Marien van Bezooijen, CEO, ABS. “Our customers in the UK and Nordics will benefit from his experience and his ability to translate real operational challenges into practical, technology-led solutions.”

Commenting on his appointment, Simon Edwards said: “ABS has an exceptional reputation for delivering modern, integration-friendly ERP and analytics software to industrial laundries. I’m excited to work with operators across the UK and Nordics to benchmark processes, identify hidden workflow gaps, and help teams unlock performance improvements with ABSSolute and the wider ABS platform.”

In his new role, Edwards will focus on helping laundry operators modernise critical workflows including order-to-invoice, stock management, RFID enabled tracking and automation integration, and on building partnerships across the region to accelerate digital transformation initiatives.
