The “Green The Capitol” initiative is an ongoing effort by the House to become a model of sustainability and reduce carbon. It includes everything from “green” roofs and carpooling to “green” purchasing initiatives. The selection process for a new drycleaning service for its Longworth House office specifically excluded cleaners who used either perc or hydrocarbon. “It’s an honour being selected,” said Patrick Dunlap, of ClassiCleaners.
