The purchase includes the warehouse and distribution centre at Fulwood, Preston, and will ensure employment of the existing workforce and continuity for customers. The three directors of the new owners, MD David Toon, sales director, David Watson and financial director Kevin Mayes, were previously directors at CCM.

The business will now trade in the UK as Alsico Laucuba. It will operate as an independent within the Alsico group, which has a turnover in excess of Euro100m and supplies more than 10million garments each year.

David Toon said: “The acquisition will give customers access to a vast product portfolio and bespoke design service through an unparalleled supply chain, operating successfully on a truly global scale. As a family-owned group, Alsico can focus all its energy directly on customers and their present and future needs.”
