Cleaners need to take great care when treating stain on animal hair fabrics to avoid any possibility of creating localised felting of the surface fibres. However, we are only human, and if you do have an accident all may not be lost.

To try and correct the problem, first, iron the affected area using steam and vacuum, then, using a safety razor, gently shave off the fibres which are still standing proud of the fabric surface.

Finally, iron or press to give a uniform finish. This technique will usually work in cases of minor damage.
