France: Leading European and US garment rental company Elis/Omni has turned to smart-label specialist Gemplus Tag to provide an RF based system for tracking and identifying garments.
The solution will involve several million smart labels and is said to be the largest order placed in the industrial laundry sector.
Increase productivity Smart labels have the potential to increase laundries’ productivity and improve profitability. They give optimum inventory control by allowing garments to be traced at any time, thus reducing garment loss.
As a result of the RF system, Elis will be able to guarantee total garment traceability between laundry and customer, increasing customer loyalty and also allowing new services to be introduced.
Gemplus Tag will use two partners, Adage- IER France and US-based Tetra Systems to implement the tracking system and provide technical and sales support at local level.
