Victor Ward, managing director of Fisher Services, said: “Following our own internal review, it was felt customer service provision would be made more effective by retaining a clearly defined, independent marketing strategy for Scotland. We believe our status as a strong, independent Scottish-based laundry has been a major factor in our continued year-on-year growth.”
David Stevens, chairman of Brilliant Laundry Group, is fully understanding of Fisher Services, decision. “Fisher will continue to provide support as a Brilliant partner servicing existing contracts, and where appropriate, new business. Brilliant continues to offer national solutions where buyers favour this route; although Brilliant has seen a move in some groups to consider regional purchasing agreements.”
Brilliant is made up of some of the strongest regional players in the country, notably Paragon and Clean and County Linen supported by regional partners, such as Abbey Glen, Chester Linen, Faversham, Swiss, Camplings and Express.
Brilliant now services 30% of the UK marketplace. Stevens added: “We expect to see our market share continue to grow by offering the best of both worlds – a regional deal, if required, or a fully co-ordinated and managed national service.”
