Redfearns Wire Products, the wire coat hanger manufacturer, has acquired the the wire division of Dutch firm Stafier, one of its major competitors, The terms of the deal sees Stafier’s machinery and business transferred to Redfearn.
This will expand the company’s manufacturing capacity and make it one of the largest coat-hanger manufacturers serving the UK and Europe.
Managing director Chris Redfearn commented: “The acquisition is in line with our goal of developing our core business, and has been under discussion for some time.
“We have already installed the additional equipment at our Yorkshire manufacturing site.”
