On a flying visit to the UK, Sudhir Batra, contacted the Guild of Cleaners and Launderers and was entertained to dinner at Launderers Hall in London by Guild Chaiman of Council, Ken Cupitt. Batra is the managing partner of Mercury Cleaners, Dyers, and Darners, which operates from five sites in India, and is also vice president of the India textile services association, DLAI. He is seen with David Stevens, left, chief executive of the Textile Services Association (TSA). Ken Cupitt is pictured, right.

At Launderers Hall, Batra was presented to the newly installed Master of the Worshipful Company of Launderers (WCL). In the following days of July Guild president, Ron Davidson FGCL, will be showing Batra more of London after he has been to Scotland and seen family in the UK.

Mercury Dry Cleaners is associated to CINET, the International Committee of Textile Care, a global network of researchers and practitioners interested in sharing and developing their knowledge and experience of textile care, which brokered the contact between Batra and Cupitt.
