An annual membership subscription of £61 (first shop registration inclusive of legal expenses insurance cover) for the year commencing 1 September, 1999, provides for up to £25 000 of legal costs and expenses in defending disputes arising from any new employment legislation.
The registration fee for members’ second and subsequent shops is £5.50 per shop.
Insurance cover is £13 per shop—an optional extra which, in the light of the newly introduced employment legislation, is “strongly recommended” by NALI’s Council of Management.
Only those shops listed with NALI as being covered by insurance will be protected.
A key benefit of NALI’s insurance scheme—and one used by members throughout 1998/99—is access provided to the LawCare 24-hour Advisory Service.
Through this, the insured person can obtain advice on any legal problem arising.
