Laundrapp, the on-demand laundry service, is offering a 50% back to school discount for teachers and school staff.

Public Health Officials have advised teachers to wash their clothes every evening to minimise the risk of spreading Covid-19 – meaning mountains of laundry alongside the usual lesson plans and marking.

Angela Freeth, marketing campaign manager, Laundrapp, said: “We want to do our bit to help make the return to school as safe as possible. Teachers and school staff have enough to think about without having to think about doing extra laundry.”

Teachers and staff from schools, colleges and universities can get the 50% discount on the Laundrapp wash and fold service by logging on to or through their app which is downloadable on all app stores.

The discount is available to both new and existing customers, who simply send in their order number and school ID or proof of working in a school to claim the offer. Customers select a slot for Laundrapp to come and collect your laundry and then a convenient time for it to be returned clean. The offer can be used up to four times per person during September.

Joe Taylor, teacher at a London secondary school, added: “The new school year is usually a time of excitement and optimism for the year ahead. This year is going to be very different. It’s likely to be a period of stress and uncertainty as we try to navigate new restrictions and catch up on missed learning. Anything that can help alleviate this added pressure is hugely appreciated.”
