TSA Spring Conference takes place on 3-4 May at the Hilton St George’s Park, Burton Upon Trent. Billed as a celebration of members’ hard work, it starts with an industry dinner on the evening before the main event with some superb entertainment, pr the TSA team. It will provide the latest news and key topics facing the industry, promises the TSA team which said: “Hopefully, it will also enlighten and entertain you so you can go back to work feeling refreshed and ready for the challenges ahead with fantastic keynote speakers to inspire and enjoy.”
On the main day of business, 4 May, delegates will hear from TSA CEO David Stevens in his report; learn about the TSA’s ‘Giving people a second chance’ which encourages the industry to draw on the services of ex-offenders, hearing from people engaged in the project; ‘Fire insurance: A real hazard’ from an insurance expert; and an energy update by Paul Dilley of Fox Energy. There will also be updates on work by TSA Knowledge Networks and a panel session on sustainability with representatives from the laundry and hospitality industries.

Natalie Fee is an award-winning environmentalist, author, inspirational speaker and founder of City to Sea, a not-for- profit organisation running campaigns to stop plastic pollution. A warm, funny and passionate speaker, award-winning campaigner Fee gets straight to the heart of environmentalism, inspiring her audiences to reflect on the issues we’re facing today while providing huge amounts of practical optimism. Fee started her non-profit organisation, City to Sea, in 2015, as a result of stumbling across a video of albatross chicks dying in their nests with their bellies full of plastic. Devastated and motivated in equal measure, she left her career as a TV presenter to see if she could do something to make it stop. Without previous campaigning experience, a business model or strategy in sight, Fee has grown the UK’s fastest growing not-for-profit and now employs over 30 staff. Their campaigns to stop plastic pollution at source have won multiple awards, gone international and prevented thousands of tonnes of plastic at source every year from reaching our oceans.
