The scheme is open to the UK’s commercial laundries and textile rental companies. Those enrolled in the current scheme will be pre-registered but other applicants should enter their details now. They can do so either by going to TSA’s website http://www.tsa-uk.org/cca or by phoning the dedicated helpline 0845 600 8122.
The CCA sets tough but achievable energy reduction targets but rewards laundries that meet them with a 90% rebate on the Climate Change Levy for electricity and a 65% rebate for the levy on gas.
TSA urges companies to take action now to make sure they are registered for the scheme ASAP and by 15 August at the latest. It also reminds that the scheme is not open to drycleaners, OPLs, institutional laundries or those mainly serving the domestic market.
