Saunders joined the business in 1982 as warehouse hand and became warehouse manager. In 1987, managing director Raj Ruia joined the company and promoted Saunders to internal sales manager. He has been developing a role in field sales since 1990 his customers now include national laundries including Stalbridge, Lilliput and Afonwen.
As well as handling laundry accounts around the UK and Ireland, Saunders also develops new business and works across the hotel, restaurant, leisure and catering industries.
He describes Richard Haworth as a family business that has been carefully nurtured over the years and says he feels tremendous loyalty both to his own job and the company. “I believe in hard work and being fair, which is echoed by my colleagues, so together, we make a team that’s hard to be reckoned with.”
