Visitors were able to view the latest washing machines in the company’s Spirit TopLine range, the 7620 and 8120 models, with capacities of 6 and 7kg respectively, a vented dryer, the 7kg TA8320 and a condenser dryer, the 7kg TC8330.
All the TopLine-washers feature the low temperature 20C button, which is intended for household/domestic use but is also suitable for commercial applications such as facilities management.
The company also featured additions to its range of Spirit ProLine washers (8 – 16kg) ; two new Spirit ProLine industrial washer-extractors, the WEI9130/9160 for 13kg and 16kg respectively and its ProLine industrial dryers (10 –15kg).
All machines feature disinfection programs and the TopLine and ProLine feature ProfiClean programs, a group of 70 specific programs designed to cover the different market sectors. Schulthess Maschinen worked closely with chemicals’ specialist Büfa to develop the programs for its commercial and industrial laundry machines.
Microbiologist Lutz Vossebein of the wfk Cleaning Technology Research Institute explained the technical aspects of achieving disinfection and hygiene in the laundry.
Schulthess also provided live demonstrations of its Wet-Clean System, which uses special programs and special detergents. The system can be provided as a package with Schulthess appliances.
A full report of the event will appear in the July 2010 edition of LCN International.
