UK: The first national drycleaning fortnight will take place from September 16. The idea was originally put forward by Ian Goldstein, of Voucher Systems at the Guild of Launderers and Cleaners conference in April.

His company will be one of the sponsors, although support is also being sought from companies and industry associations.

The details of the event are still in the planning stage, but a free window poster will be available.

The Guild may help its members, particularly those with Q-stars, to get publicity in their local press.

Commenting on behalf of the Guild, president elect Mike Clark said he was pleased that support from for this initiative seemed to be coming from other trade organisations and some major companies.
