Wolf Laundry has stepped in to provide a West Yorkshire care home with Schulthess washer extractors to streamline the operation. Herncliffe Care Home, based in Keighley, West Yorkshire, provides dementia, residential and nursing care. Founded 30 years ago, the family-run care home has 115 beds spread over six care units, and 200 members of staff. It has established a great reputation which is testament to the excellent care provided by its professional team.

It has a four-strong laundry team operating the on-site laundrette from 7.30am until 3.30pm, seven days a week. The laundry provides personal laundry for residents and bed linen for up to 115 beds at any one time.

Laundry challenge
For a number of years Herncliffe Care Home had used the same machines and tumble dryers but after experiencing a number of issues, with machines frequently breaking down and the high volumes of laundry the care home produced backing up, they approached Wolf Laundry.

Wolf Laundry provided five Schulthess proLine W-Series machines to the site. The five machines facilitate large washing loads in less time and fast washing programmes, saving Herncliffe Care Home time and money. Importantly, even more so for a care home, is the disinfection programmes and hygiene monitoring the machines boast which guarantee hygienic, clean and germ-free laundry. They’re also designed for low energy consumption and offer a wetClean program.

Wolf Laundry engineers also provided full product training for the laundry team to ensure that they could self-operate the machines, understand the different programmes, and how to upkeep and maintain the machines for optimum efficiency.

Wolf Laundry supplies Herncliffe Care Home with liquid detergent, providing a complete laundry solution to ensure the best results, every single wash.

“Wolf Laundry is a prompt and reliable supplier. The laundry machines Wolf Laundry has supplied and installed have run really well and on the very few occasions that we have had to call for support, we have had a great response from both the service department and engineers,” said John Kennedy of Herncliffe Care Home.
