NORTH AMERICA

LG Electronics USA has unveiled a new series of top-load washers built on the direct-drive motor technology pioneered by the company. Being shown for the first time at The Clean Show, North America’s largest commercial laundry trade show 23-26 August in Orlando, the 27-inch high-efficiency top-loaders, coin- and card-operated models incorporate LG’s advanced Inverter Direct Drive™ motor.

The result, said LG, is premium performance, durability and efficiency. Perfected by LG over the past two decades, the direct-drive motor system is covered by a 5-year limited warranty.

Superior durability and reliability are top considerations for businesses, landlords and schools deploying commercial washers and dryers, according to Sam Kim, president of appliance solutions, LG Electronics USA. “With LG’s reputation for quality, these new top-load washers, as well as their popular front-load cousins and their companion gas and electric dryers, are well positioned to serve the dynamic US vended market,” he said.

The new machines also feature LG’s Gyro Balancing System with 3D sensor that precisely monitor drum movement to reduce motion, vibration and noise – extending component lifespan and ensuring smooth, stable operation.

Ideal for high-usage environments, the units offer fast cycle times, rapid spin initiation and a front-access design that simplifies maintenance by allowing most servicing to be done without disassembly, minimising downtime and improving technician efficiency.

LG is also showcasing front-load washers, dryers and combo units designed for use in multi-family housing, student dormitories, laundromats and more which are available now through leading US commercial laundry service providers, including CSC ServiceWorks, WASH and EVI.

For demanding high-volume workloads of busy commercial laundry environments, such as hotels and hospitals, the company also is previewing the 2026 LG Professional Laundry line for the US market.

New balancing technology coming in future LG Professional Laundry products will enable the laundry drum to spin stably at speeds of up to 1,100 RPM while reducing vibrations, enhancing water extraction and shortening cycle times.  Another innovation is the Dual Action Heat Exchange System that will help ensure fast, even drying by efficiently transferring heat to fabrics, said LG.

Leveraging its expertise in connected smart appliances for the consumer market, LG is demonstrating ‘Laundry Crew 3.0’, a connectivity solution that provides an integrated interface that connects store managers and end users, enabling real-time product monitoring and coordinated support.

On top of all that innovation, LG has recently partnered with Rinse, a leading provider of laundry and drycleaning delivery services throughout North America, which will be participating in the business on the LG booth as the companies aim to further advance laundry solutions for a broad range of customers and partners.
